Jets have second-best odds to select polarizing 28-TD QB In NFL Draft

This offseason, the Jets decided to trade for QB Geno Smith, who was coming off a struggling year with the Raiders and is now returning to the franchise that drafted him.

Nearly every analyst believes the Jets will ride Smith as the starting QB in 2026, get reps for the new players they draft, and select their hopeful franchise QB.in 2027 which is supposed to be a much better class at the position.

New York Jets have second-best odds to select Ty Simpson in NFL Draft

With Fernando Mendoza as the consensus top QB of the 2026 class, most talent evaluators think there is a significant drop off to the No. 2 signal caller, Alabama’s Ty Simpson.

There are a few contrary opinions about Simpson vs. Mendoza, but it’s difficult to find anyone that’s sold on the Jets selecting Simpson in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Still, DraftKings has listed its official odds on where Simpson will land, and the Jets have the second-best odds at +175.

The Cardinals have the best odds to land Simpson at +110.

The Rams (+400), the Browns (+750), and the Steelers (+850) have the next best odds.

Those are pretty big gaps between the New York Jets and the other teams who are possibly planning to make a move for the Alabama QB, could Las Vegas know something we don’t?
