They aren't resting on their laurels, though. They've already completed some offseason business.
On Saturday, it was announced that Cole Koepke has signed a contract extension with the Jets.
The Athletic's Chris Johnston reported that it's a two-year deal worth $2.9 million in total value ($1.45 million per year).

Koepke is a 27-year old forward who had originally signed with the Jets before the 2025-26 season on a one-year contract for $1 million.
He then played 66 games for Winnipeg, recording 17 total points that included eight goals and nine assists.
Koepke has done well for himself as originally a sixth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2018. He spent his time after being drafted playing college hockey at Minnesota-Duluth.
He spent a couple NHL seasons with the Lightning, although he was mostly down in the AHL in Syracuse.
Before the 2024-25 season, Koepke joined the Boston Bruins and recorded 17 points (10 goals, seven assists).

That brought him to Winnipeg, and apparently the partnership worked well enough that they wanted to bring him back.
The Jets still have Gustav Nyquist as an unrestricted free agent forward, and they're waiting on Jonathan Toews' retirement decision before they move ahead with further potential moves to add firepower to their offensive ranks.
