Now, Prochazka is responding.
āI donāt want to hear this bullsāt from a stripper,ā Prochazka told Ariel Helwani. āYeah, this is it. I believe that in the cage, we fighters are one of the most rare people in the world. Does anybody think that I prepared my words after the fight to tell the crowd I was so merciful? Man, first of all, I didnāt say that ā I didnāt say that because Joe Rogan told me it was a mercy. It was not about mercy, but I just saw Ulberg and he was hurt, and I didnāt accept the scenario of the fight.ā
For what itās worth, Ulberg previously worked as a male entertainer and party host for extra money before transitioning fully into MMA.
Despite the heated response, Prochazka is owning the loss.
āAbout the things that heās saying right now, congrats, heās the champion. Really, he caught me. I accept that,ā Prochazka said. āBut all these things about I played something⦠that was bullsāt what he said. I donāt want to say anything, and some excuses, I donāt care. I lost. I accept that, and letās go back.ā
Looking back, Prochazka still believes he was performing well before the finish.
ā[I had an] amazing first round. One of the best first rounds that I ever did,ā Prochazka said. āI was prepared 100 percent. That was one of the best preparations in my life. Iām so proud for my team, for my family, everybody around this. Everything was fāking successful. Everything was great. And there was only me who did these things in the fight. Yeah, I just lost my focus.ā
Now, the mission is simple: improve and move forward.
āI donāt want to speak about that anymore,ā Prochazka added. I donāt want to make an excuse about that. Doesnāt matter for me right now. The most important thing for me is to keep my girls safe and keep them healthy, and work on myself. Thatās all. Other thoughts about the fight, about the excuses, loss, whatever ā doesnāt matter. Only way out is forward.ā
Prochazka is targeting a return this fall and has his eyes on top contenders like Magomed Ankalaev or Paulo Costa.
