JJ Wetherholt will hope to accomplish much more than this in his St. Louis Cardinals career.
But he already can call one franchise all-time record his own.

It's kind of a painful record.
At the same time, it shows that Wetherholt isn't afraid to do what it takes to get on base for his team.

But a record is a record, and now Wetherholt holds one.
JJ Wetherholt set the record for the most consecutive games getting hit by a pitch, achieving this in four games.
Jon Jay held the previous record of four consecutive games getting hit by a pitch.
Setting this record establishes Wetherholt as a notable player in the franchise's history and could enhance his reputation moving forward.
