Joe Rogan has endorsed Josh Hokit ahead of UFC 327, calling him 'smart' despite his divisive persona. Hokit will face Curtis Blaydes in a crucial heavyweight match that could elevate him into the top five of the division.

Josh Hokit might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s got the backing of the UFC’s top voice when it comes to his divisive persona.
The unbeaten heavyweight is set for the biggest moment of his career so far, landing a spot on the main card of UFC 327.
Before fans shift their focus to the pair of key light heavyweight bouts headlining the night in Miami, Hokit will step into the Octagon against Curtis Blaydes, looking to claim a place inside the division’s top five.

Josh Hokit has always played up the showman persona, and he’s doubled down in Miami, looking even more outlandish than usual. From an altercation with Prochazka at media day to odd moments throughout fight week, he hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Not everyone is buying into the act. While UFC president Dana White isn’t a fan, Joe Rogan spoke up in support during his latest episode of the JRE MMA Show.
“He’s so fun,” Rogan said during the latest episode of his JRE MMA Show.
The co-hosts didn’t agree. Matt Serra and Din Thomas both pushed back, with Thomas saying he doesn’t see the appeal. But Rogan stuck to his view.
“I love it. He’s like a pro wrestler. He’s a smart dude. You talk to that guy, he’s a smart dude. He knows what he’s doing. He’s being a goof.
Rogan had a close view of Hokit’s behaviour both post-fight at UFC 324 this past January and on stage at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins in Miami.
This time around, Hokit’s main concern will be Curtis Blaydes – someone who has spent years near the top of the division and hasn’t appeared to care about any of Hokit’s pre-fight noise.
