New York Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux has been thrown into another trade rumor as Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft is underway.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported before Day 2 kicked off that the Giants are willing to listen to offers for Thibodeaux, with the New Orleans Saints showing heavy interest.
"Sources: The #Giants have engaged in trade conversations involving DE Kayvon Thibodeaux, and the #Saints are among the teams showing strong interest," Schultz said.
"If a deal happens, it could be as soon as tonight. Giants have been open to listening."
Thibodeaux has been in trade rumors for the entire offseason, and trading him would make sense for New York. However, it sounds like the Giants have no plans to deal the 25-year-old defender.
During a press conference after their Round 2 selection of Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood, Giants general manager Joe Schoen said the team hasn't had any trade conversations surrounding Thibodeaux on Friday, completely shutting down Schultz's report.
"There's no truth to that," Schoen said via Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News Sports. "We have not had any conversations today about Kayvon [Thibodeaux]. That's not true."

Trading Thibodeaux to potentially acquire another Day 2 pick would be a savvy move by New York. However, the front office may want to hold on to the Oregon product for another year to keep their dynamic pass rush together.
The Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers could be interested in trading for Thibodeaux, along with the Saints.
But it looks like they will have to look elsewhere to address their needs at edge rusher, as Thibodeaux may not be available after all.
Green Bay and San Francisco already have superstar edge rushers in Micah Parsons and Nick Bosa, but both are working back from torn ACLs, so adding a pass rusher would be an ideal move for the Packers and 49ers.
New England, Chicago, and New Orleans also need more juice in the pass-rushing departments, so we'll see if either team can effectively fill those needs.
