Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire has criticized Notre Dame for not being in a conference, prompting backlash over his comments. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is hosting key recruits this weekend and is rumored to be interested in transfer star Audi Crooks from Iowa State.
Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire made some noise last season as he bashed Notre Dame — mostly because the Irish aren’t in a conference. Here he is partially defending himself for that, but he’s also just being an absolute clown with clown takes.

— Bussin' With The Boys (@BussinWTB) April 9, 2026 But like — what the hell is he fighting for? Do you want to see what a deadly Big 12 CONFERENCE schedule looks like? This is what he pounds his chest to every night before he worships satan: Presented without comment pic.twitter.com/tNUXaLlquL
— PuntandRally (@PuntandRally) April 9, 2026 You would think McGuire would just want to change the subject rather than be reminded of his clown behavior and his clown performance. I believe Texas Tech should score more than 0 points in a playoff game pic.twitter.com/7Sy2Z4bKBQ

It’s going to be a big recruiting weekend for Notre Dame. Among some of the bigger names from the 2027 class that will be on campus are; WR Julius Jones Jr., OT Layton von Brandt, WR Osani Gayles, and DE Alifeliti Tuihalamaka. Those are players to be really excited about — but I am keeping a sharp eye on a linebacker FROM NORTH DAKOTA.

Irish are looking to make a huge move with some top priorities.

There’s a lot of talk and rumor about Audi Crooks. The former Iowa State star is in the portal and a lot of the top programs are after her. Is there real interest with Notre Dame?
Audi Crooks, the most sought-after transfer portal target of the year, now follows the official Notre Dame WBB account on Instagram as well as head coach Niele Ivey and players Hannah Hidalgo and KK Bransford.
Crooks, a 6-3 center, was No. 2 nationally in scoring at 25.8 ppg. 👀 pic.twitter.com/aAmL9HrPFs
— Tyler Horka (@tbhorka) April 10, 2026 Following people on social media is a fairly weak indicator, but it’s not nothing. Is it wishful thinking? Well — here are a couple of NON Notre Dame people that hopes it happens. Iowa State's Audi Crooks went portaling 👀
Where do you see her ending up? pic.twitter.com/FKJfzuA5Vl

I feel like there have been a few spring practice clips that show Christian Gray in a not so great light. Here’s another one of those, but man… covering Jordan Faison looks like a stupidly tough task (and it’s one clip).
Impossibly tough cover here on this comeback from Faison.
Hard outside release sells go, stutter step around 7-10 yards with the look back will commit the DB to get in phase over the top, stops on a dime, then works back to the qb to maximize separation.
High level stuff. pic.twitter.com/gKD8IG62ET
