Jordan Spieth has made a slow start to the 2026 PGA Tour season once again and he will be desperate to show some signs of life at the Cadillac Championship this week.
Spieth worked incredibly hard on his game throughout the off-season but as things stand, he hasn’t been getting the results he believes he deserves.
Sadly, the 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, is an absolute shadow of the player who won three majors before his 24th birthday.
It’s not through a lack of trying, but Spieth‘s game just isn’t good enough to win right now. Meanwhile, the best players on the PGA Tour have gotten better and better over the past few years.
The beauty of Spieth’s mindset is that he will be heading to the Cadillac Championship this week with genuine belief that he will win the tournament.

At the highest level of the game, you need that kind of mindset, regardless of how you’re playing.
Interestingly, Spieth has been forced to enter US Open qualifying this year, after the 10-year exemption he received after his win at Chambers Bay in 2015 expired.
That is a shining example of just how far he has fallen over the past few years.
However, with Spieth in the field this week at Trump National Doral, there is a still a chance that he could turn around his season, and indeed his career, very quickly.

Spieth is without a win since April 2022. He will be absolutely desperate to return to the winners’ circle this week in Miami.
The good news for the 32-year-old is that he has been given a big boost ahead of the tournament.
Spieth will play alongside his good friend Justin Thomas during the first two rounds of the Cadillac Championship this week, as confirmed via the PGA Tour’s official website.
The two Americans are very close friends and have most likely played more rounds alongside one another than anyone else on the PGA Tour.
They have known each other since they were 14 years old and the duo are now fully-fledged best friends.

Another bonus for the Texan is that the competitive juices will be well and truly flowing for him during the first two rounds of the tournament.
Spieth and Thomas always want to beat each other badly, in spite of their very close friendship, and that may well spur them both on to real success this week.
So, the Spieth and Thomas group will obviously be featured on Thursday and Friday at Trump National Doral.
There are three other featured groups this week with Scottie Scheffler and Cameron Young leading the marquee pairings.
Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood are paired together in an all-European grouping.
And Chris Gotterup and Hideki Matsuyama make up the final marquee pairing.
Numerous big-name stars have pulled out of the championship this week, including the likes of Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele.
However, as you can see by the names listed in the featured groups above, the Cadillac Championship still has a very strong field.
Could Jordan Spieth finally emerge from his slumber and win this week in Miami? The fact that he is paired alongside Justin Thomas will undoubtedly help him do just that at Trump National Doral.
