The Boston Celtics wrapped up their regular season on Sunday, ending it on a high note with a stunning 113-108 victory over the Orlando Magic at TD Garden despite being severely shorthanded.
That summed up this Celtics season in a nutshell, though, which has been a rollercoaster from start to finish.
Boston entered the year with relatively low expectations after losing a ton of veteran talent over the offseason and Jayson Tatum to injury. The Celtics started slowly and took some time to find their identity without Tatum, but once they did, they took off.
Now, Boston enters the NBA Playoffs as the two seed in the Eastern Conference and the favorite to win the East.
Prior to Sunday's win over the Magic, Jordan Walsh thanked Celtics fans for sticking with them and supporting them all season.
"On behalf of the organization, I want to thank you all for being the best fans in sports," Walsh told TD Garden. "As we head off into the postseason, I hope that we represent our great city. Go C's."
Boston will try to reward its fans with a second championship in three years. The Celtics are off this week before kicking off their postseason journey on Sunday at home against either the Philadelphia 76ers or Orlando.
