Welcome back to another year of the SB Nation Community Mock Draft!
As we do every draft season, all 32 NFL sites at SB Nation come together to fill out an entire first-round mock draft leading up to the actual event that takes place from April 23-25. One by one, our site managers will make their picks and provide their reasoning behind the selection. From there, I will provide further analysis on top of giving a final opinion on the pick!
Without further ado, let’s keep things rolling!
With the 21st overall pick in the 2026 SB Nation Community Mock Draft, Behind The Steel Curtain’s Jarrett Bailey and the Pittsburgh Steelers select Jordyn Tyson, wide receiver, Arizona State!
Bailey’s analysis:
My analysis: I am all for Bailey’s thought process here, but I can’t help but believe Tyson’s skillset is a bit redundant with both D.K. Metcalf and Michael Pittman already on the team. You’d be giving your quarterback three massive targets, all of whom stand from 6’2 to 6’4, but that sounds awfully one-note for the offense. Third-year receiver Roman Wilson is there and would essentially be the team’s WR3/4 with Tyson to begin the 2026 season, but it’d be hard to see the Steelers not put their first-rounder out there more than a guy drafted by the previous head coach.
This is one of those instances where I’m not necessarily in love with the team-player pairing, but Bailey has a plan here and as the hypothetical GM for his squad, he’s going out on his own convictions and grabbing his guy.
