The New York Jets are entering the 2026 NFL Draft with two picks inside the first 16 selections, with the No. 2 and No. 16 picks of the draft.
Edge rusher, between Arvell Reese and David Bailey, is likely the first pick, but their second Round 1 selection is leaning towards a wide receiver. And Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson might be their best option in that range.
And talking to SNY Jets and other reporters the day before the draft, Tyson revealed some bold thoughts on the Jets, and what it would mean to be drafted there, that will have fans hoping Darren Mougey selects the Arizona State WR in Round 1.
"I was watching some Garrett Wilson tape. He's an amazing player. Definitely like the Jets," Tyson said. "They have a great receiver room. You also got Adonai Mitchell, who's a great player. I really loved him coming out of college, out of Texas. So, probably have the best receiver room in the league to be honest with you."
The Jets' current wide receivers are Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell. While Wilson is a good number one option, and Mitchell is a fun depth piece, the team needs another option.
That's why the Jets have been so frequently linked to wide receivers in the pre-draft process this year. It's a big need for this team, and should be explored with the 16th pick.
And Tyson, the Arizona State WR, believes if he joins the Jets, the Wilson-Tyson-Mitchell WR room would have a case as the best in the NFL.
Jordyn Tyson shared his enthusiasm for potentially being drafted by the Jets, suggesting they could have the best wide receiver in the league if he joins the team.

It's a bold take, but if all three of these receivers were to reach their potential, it might not be that outlandish a take.
Wilson is a great WR already, and Mitchell has elite big-play upside. Tyson is a great WR as well, as seen by his college production. Last year, he caught 61 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns, and the year prior, he had 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 TDs.
Tyson might not be on the board at No. 16, so Mougey and Aaron Glenn might have to trade up in the draft for him. But, they have the extra draft capital to make a deal work, and getting a premier player like Tyson would be worth it.
This commentary from Tyson will surely help make his case in Jets' fans' eyes to be their second first-round pick. He's a fun WR and has plenty of upside.
