Alisson Becker is expected to leave Liverpool, with talks advancing towards a transfer to Juventus. Reports indicate that discussions are already underway regarding his potential move.
Journalist: Liverpool star expected to leave with talks already âadvancingâ
Alisson Beckerâs future became one of the most striking topics on Anfield Indexâs Media Matters, as Dave Davis asked David Lynch about reports linking the Liverpool goalkeeper with Juventus.
Davis introduced the subject by saying: âJuventus are advancing in talks to sign Alisson Becker,â referencing reports from Alex Crook on talkSPORT. He then asked Lynch to score the chances out of ten that Alisson would still be at Anfield next season.
That question now sits within an important contractual context. Liverpool have triggered the clause in Alissonâs contract to extend his deal until 2027, which means next summer, but Juventus are believed to be pushing hard to sign the Brazilian this summer.
Lynchâs answer was blunt. Asked about the chances of Alisson remaining at Liverpool, he said: âYeah, Iâd be surprised at this point.â
He then added: âI think thereâs just a lot of smoke there.â That was not presented as certainty, but it was clearly more than a passing rumour in Lynchâs reading of the situation.
The key issue, according to Lynch, is where the decision now lies. âClearly whatâs happening here is that the decision is on the playersâ side really,â he said. In other words, Liverpool may hold contractual control after extending Alisson until 2027, but the goalkeeperâs own wishes could shape what happens next.
Lynch framed it as a choice for Alisson: âDoes he want to move on and try something new or does he want to stick around because heâs under contract?â
One of the strongest parts of Lynchâs answer concerned Liverpoolâs likely stance. He said: âLiverpool will give him the choice of either as long as their needs in terms of a transfer fee are met.â
That line is significant. It suggests Liverpool would not necessarily force Alisson to stay, despite the extension clause, if Juventus or another club meet their valuation and the player wants the move.
Alisson Becker is reportedly in advanced talks with Juventus regarding a potential transfer from Liverpool.
Alisson's future is uncertain due to ongoing discussions about a transfer to Juventus, which has raised questions about his position at Anfield.
The reports linking Alisson Becker to Juventus were highlighted by journalist Alex Crook on talkSPORT.
During a discussion, David Lynch was asked to score the chances of Alisson remaining at Liverpool next season, indicating a significant likelihood of his departure.

Lynch went further, saying: âThe fact that things are clearly advancing on the playersâ side says to me that thereâs a willingness there to let him go and a willingness on his side to go.â
For Liverpool fans, that is the part that will sting. Alisson has been one of the defining figures of a hugely successful era at Anfield. Yet Lynchâs reading was that both the club and player may be open to a summer exit if the conditions are right.

Lynch also pointed to Liverpoolâs succession planning. He said: âI donât think Liverpool will stand in his way, particularly because he signed Mamardashvili for this purpose.â
That reference matters. Giorgi Mamardashviliâs arrival was always likely to raise questions about the long-term goalkeeping picture, and Lynch clearly sees the Georgian as part of Liverpoolâs preparation for life after Alisson.
When Davis pressed for a score, Lynch offered a stark number: âI would say kind of two out of ten chance that heâs at Liverpool, to be honest.â
Alisson is under contract until 2027 after Liverpool triggered the extension clause, but Lynch still believes the chance of him staying beyond this summer is low.
