Jurgen Klopp unlikely to arrive at Real Madrid, dreams of German national team
With Alvaro Arbeloa’s fate seemingly sealed, Real Madrid are looking at potential candidates to take over as manager at the end of the ongoing season.
And, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a name that is very well-liked within the club.
Currently operating as the Global Head of Sports for the Red Bull Group, the German tactician has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu ever since Xabi Alonso was sacked in January.
Now, with Arbeloa also likely to be axed, Klopp’s name has resurfaced as a managerial target for Los Blancos.
However, according to Jose Felix Diaz of AS, there is no indication that Real Madrid are pursuing Klopp, nor that the former European champion with Liverpool is waiting for the Merengues.
Instead, as per the report, one of Klopp’s objectives is to become manager of the German national team at some point in the future.

After nearly 25 years of uninterrupted work as manager, Klopp wanted a break and has been enjoying his role with the Red Bull Group. He feels comfortable and content in both his position and his life in Mallorca.
Therefore, a move to Real Madrid in the summer appears extremely unlikely. The Germany national football team, though, is a long-term objective of his, although there is no immediate timeline.
The World Cup often determines the future of most national teams, with projects ending and others beginning depending on what happens at each major tournament.
Julian Nagelsmann, the current Germany manager, has recently been linked with Manchester United. If there is any movement around the German national team position, Klopp could see the door open and fulfil one of his major ambitions as a coach.
For now, however, everything remains on hold pending developments. What appears clear is that his future and that of Real Madrid will not come together, despite the recurring speculation.
