Coming out of high school in the 2023 class, McBride was ranked 134th overall, 29th among power forwards, and 11th in the state of Texas that cycle, .

As for Kentucky, the roster picture for 2026-27 is still developing. The Cats are bringing back Malachi Moreno, Kam Williams, Trent Noah, and Reece Potter, and theyâve already landed Zoom Diallo from Washington in the portal, along with high school commit Mason Williams. Thereâs still work to do, though, and a forward who can score and rebound at McBrideâs level would be a nice piece to add to what Pope is building.
A visit doesnât mean anything is close to being done, but itâs a step. If McBride does make it to Lexington on Tuesday, itâll be worth watching how things develop from there.
