Justin Rose confirms what his relationship with Bryson DeChambeau is now like after their Ryder Cup clash

One of the most memorable moments of the 2025 Ryder Cup came on Saturday afternoon when Justin Rose and Bryson DeChambeau holed putts to tie the 15th hole of the match they were both involved in.

Rose and Tommy Fleetwood were edging towards a 3&2 victory over what appeared to be an American super-team of DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler.

Rose had the opportunity to pile the pressure on their opponents. However, his preparation was interrupted by DeChambeau’s caddie Greg Bodine seemingly being too eager to read the LIV star’s putt.

He was sent away in no uncertain terms by the Englishman. So when both players managed to hole their putts to tie the hole, a fired up DeChambeau made his feelings about the incident clear.

It led to a remarkable scene, with Fleetwood’s caddie trying to play peacemaker. Meanwhile, Ted Scott got angry with Francesco Molinari, as the European vice-captain attempted to catch up and cool things down.

With the match ending one hole later, it was no surprise that plenty of tension remained.

But speaking to Golf.com, Justin Rose explained that there is no lingering animosity between himself and DeChambeau.

“Bryson’s caddie walked up into my field of vision, so I was trying to deal with that situation and I sort of questioned whether it was my putt. He said yes, so I said, ‘move’. Probably short with it. Then I holed the putt and Bryson holed his putt and came straight at me. So I’m like alright, let’s go. So we had a few words and things boiled over up onto the next tee. But ultimately it settled down and we played golf,” he said.
