Tarik Muharemovic, a defender for Sassuolo, is being pursued by Juventus and Inter Milan this summer. Inter is reportedly favored by the player, who is drawn to their recent Scudetto win.
Juventus & Inter among clubs targeting Sassuolo defender Muharemovic this summer
Tarik Muharemovic has emerged as one of the most sought-after defenders in Serie A this summer, with both Inter and Juventus among the clubs tracking the Sassuolo centre-back, though the two sides have very different motivations for pursuing him.
According to Tuttosport, Inter have already received a verbal indication from Muharemovic that he would prioritise a move to the Nerazzurri, with the club’s Scudetto win proving an attractive draw.
Inter have explored a loan with obligation to buy structure, potentially including a young player such as Mattia Mosconi as part of the deal. However, recent interest from Tottenham Hotspur has slowed negotiations.

Sassuolo value Muharemovic at €35 million, though the situation has an added dimension for Juventus, the Bianconeri retain 50% of any future sale from the defender’s time at the club, meaning they would receive approximately €17.5 million should he leave Sassuolo for that figure.
For Juventus, that windfall forms part of a broader plan to fund defensive reinforcements, with the club also required to sign Italian-trained players to fulfil UEFA Champions League squad registration rules next season.
Inter’s need for defensive cover is driven by a busy exit list. Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian are all out of contract, while Alessandro Bastoni’s future remains uncertain despite Barcelona’s interest having appeared to cool in recent weeks. Should Bastoni stay, Inter are expected to pursue one of either Muharemovic or Udinese’s Oumar Solet, rather than both.
