Serie A side Juventus can end up needing a new centre-back in the summer, with several names mentioned as targets. It now seems like the candidacy of Club Brugge’s Joe Ordonez is rising.
Italian sides have previously looked at the Ecudorian centre-back, who has been a consistent player for the Belgian club for about three seasons now.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Juve have pretty much abandoned the trail of Marcos Senesi. This doesn’t mean their hunt for a centre-back is up, with contact made for Lazio’s Mario Gila.
But most importantly, it is Ordonez whose profile has gained prominence and initial contact has been made for the 22-year-old too. It is believed the defender is on his way out of the Belgian side, with two Premier League clubs also interested.
As of now, Club Brugge want €40 million and the situations of Federico Gatti and Bremer can dictate his possible switch to Turin.
Premier League teams have been keeping an eye on Ordonez for a while now and that is why links have never really gone away.

The fact that this information about Juve has been leaked shows that Ordonez’s entourage want quite the same as the Belgian club. The likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and Liverpool would pay a higher commission, making a deal attractive to the player’s entourage as well.
