Kade Anderson made a name for himself as a high school baseball player in Louisiana. Excluding his senior year, where he didn't pitch due to Tommy John surgery, he held a 28-1 record with a 0.22 ERA and was named the second overall player in Louisiana by Perfect Game.
From high school, Anderson would go on to play for LSU. He did not pitch his freshman year as he was still recovering from Tommy John, but made his college debut in 2024, where he finished the year with a 4-2 record and a 3.99 ERA.
By the 2025 season, he was LSU's No. 1 starter, helping them clinch their eighth World Series title, and was named the College World Series Most Outstanding Player.

With what he did with LSU and the College World Series, Anderson entered the 2025 draft as a top prospect. He would go on to be selected by the Seattle Mariners third overall, and he has not disappointed.

He is currently pitching in Double-A and is one of the most dominant arms in the Texas League. He owns a 3-0 record with a 0.60 ERA and 47 strikeouts on 30 innings of work.
With this, the crew over at MLB.com tags him as the Mariners' hottest pitching prospect.

He looks like one of the most polished draft picks from last year, and it could be sooner rather than later when he makes his MLB debut.
