Travis Bazzana hits his first major league homer in Guardians' win over Twins

Kaden Honeycutt secured the first ARCA Menards Series victory of his career Friday, May 8, leading the final 29 laps of the General Tire 100 at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
Honeycutt, a 22-year-old Texas native, is a regular on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and entered the weekend leading the Truck points standings.
Friday was Honeycutt's seventh career start in the ARCA Menards Series and first since 2023. He won two races in the ARCA Menards Series West in 2023.
He finished 3.492 seconds ahead of runner-up Carson Brown in the 41-lap race on the road course's 2.45-mile configuration. Thomas Annunziata finished third, Gavan Boschele fourth, and Sam Corry fifth.

"I think the key was just an amazing car," Honeycutt said of the No. 17 Mohawk Northeast Inc/MMI Toyota.
"The car was phenomenal all day. It was a little bit free through the carousel, I had to work on that a little bit. I think that was mostly on my end. Just a great car. All these guys back here, they do a great job."

Shortly after his ARCA win, Honeycutt was set to compete in the Truck Series' Bully Hill Vineyards 176 at The Glen. He qualified seventh earlier in the day.
"There were some things I wanted to focus on in that race that I needed to be better for the Truck specifically," Honeycutt said. "I was able to accomplish that I feel like."
Tristan McKee finished 18th out of 31 drivers in his bid to repeat as race winner. McKee became the series' second-youngest winner last year with his victory at Watkins Glen at age 15. With this year's event following an August race in 2025, he is still 15.

Max Reaves started from the pole position based on owner's points after rain led to the cancellation of qualifying scheduled earlier Friday. Honeycutt started 15th and took the lead on lap 13.
