Karren Brady quits as West Ham vice-chair after 16 years

A significant development during her time was the club’s relocation from Upton Park to the London Stadium, the flagship venue for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Baroness Brady added: "While this chapter closes, my passion for football and commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders remains undiminished. I wish West Ham United every success for the future and look forward to following their continued achievements with pride."

David Sullivan, the club’s chair, praised Baroness Brady as an "exceptional leader", adding: "We wish her every success in her future endeavours and thank her for her outstanding contribution over the past 16 years."

West Ham earned a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on Monday night to open up a two-point advantage over Tottenham in the relegation battle.

The Irons are due to return to action on Saturday afternoon when they face Everton at home.
