Ir’a a few years later than originally planned, but Karter Knox is officially a Cardinal.
The former high profile U of L recruit has committed to Louisville after spending the past two seasons playing for John Calipari at Arkansas. Knox gave Pat Kelsey the good word near the end of his visit Tuesday night.
The 6’6, 220-pound Knox averaged 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season while shooting 46 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from three last season. He played in 22 games before undergoing season-ending surgery in mid-February to repair a left meniscus tear.
Knox should slide right into the role as Louisville’s three this season. He has terrific length and is built like an NFL linebacker. Knox brings the combination of strength, athleticism and natural physical play that the Cards have been sorely lacking in each of the past two seasons.
I would expect more good news to come today.
