Kendrick Bourne praised ex-Patriots teammate Kyle Williams' viral workout video, calling his field releases 'elite.' Williams, a second-year wide receiver, showcased impressive skills in offseason training.
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne commented on a recent viral workout video of second-year wideout Kyle Williams.
The video showed the 2025 third-round draft pick going through a series of intense workouts in the offseason. Williams flashed his big-play abilities at points last season, including a 72-yard touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a 37-yard touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens.
Bourne spent time with Williams during last year's training camp and witnessed that potential up close. When commenting on the viral workout video, the veteran wide receiver claimed that Williams' releases on the field are "elite."
"KDUB got elite releases!" Bourne posted on X.
Williams finished the 2025 season with 10 catches for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
The Patriots are in dire need of more consistent playmakers at wide receiver, and there's hope that Williams can develop into an even greater contributor in the 2026 season. He appears to be doing all that he can to ensure those assumptions come true.
