The Dallas Cowboys addressed some of their pressing needs during the 2026 NFL Draft, but the front office could still make a few more moves to patch up the roster ahead of the season.
One position where Dallas could use some help is nickel corner. Though No. 11 overall pick Caleb Downs should play a good amount of snaps in the nickel spot, it would still be wise for the Cowboys to explore adding a traditional slot corner to bolster the secondary.
That said, there is a veteran corner who was released by his team on Thursday that would be an ideal post-draft signing for the Cowboys' defense led by Christian Parker.
After failing to find a trade partner for months, the Indianapolis Colts released Kenny Moore after he asked to be cut.
"Veteran safety Kenny Moore asked for and was granted his release from the Indianapolis Colts today, per source," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Moore has been one of the better nickel corners in football since entering the league in 2017. The 32-year-old has snagged 21 interceptions in his career, but has also made his mark as a tenacious run defender, posting an 84.4 PFF run-defense grade in 2025.
With 111 games of starting experience under his belt, Moore should attract interest from other teams, as he is still capable of being a solid starter.
Dallas should look into signing Moore. The Valdosta State product would immediately step in as the starting nickel and take some pressure off Downs, who can't be asked to do too much in his rookie season. Moore should also be fairly cheap to sign, as he would likely come on a one-year deal.
Though Moore played in a diminished role with the Colts in 2025, the former undrafted free agent is still a quality player who allowed just one touchdown in coverage last year. Dallas should look to bring him in to complete the secondary in 2026.
