Kentucky Basketball has emerged as one of several programs showing interest in BYU transfer forward Kennard Davis, a 6-6 wing, according to League Ready.
Davis, who spent the 2025-26 season at BYU, averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while starting all 32 contests. He played nearly 30 minutes per game and proved to be a key contributor, scoring in double figures 11 times, including a 20-point performance in the Big 12 Tournament against West Virginia.
Before his time at BYU, Davis was highly productive at Southern Illinois, where he averaged 16.3 points per game during the 2024-25 season and earned Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors. Across two seasons with the Salukis, he averaged 10.3 points and shot over 44 percent from the field.
Kentuckyâs interest highlights the programâs continued emphasis on adding experienced, versatile players through the transfer portal. Davis fits that mold with his ability to play multiple positions on the wing, stretch the floor, and contribute defensively with his length and activity.
While Davis shot 32.1 percent from 3-point range at BYU, he showed flashes of high-level shooting, including a standout performance against No. 1 Arizona, where he knocked down five 3s without a miss in a half.
With multiple high-major programs in pursuit, Kentucky will look to position itself as a strong option for Davis as the Wildcats continue to build out their roster for next season.
