IPL 2026: KL Rahul scripts history, becomes first Indian to…
KL Rahul makes history as the first Indian to score 150 runs in IPL, achieving 152 against Punjab Kings.
Kentucky loses another transfer portal target, Gabe Dynes, to rival Louisville. Dynes, a 7'5" center, previously played at Youngstown State and USC.
The Kentucky Wildcats and their fans don't need any extra motivation when they play Louisville. However, there will be just a little bit of additional annoyance with the cross-state rivals this year. The Cardinals first landed transfer portal target De'Shayne Montgomery, who Pope had targeted as well, and now they added Gabe Dynes, who was also a Wildcats target.
Dynes is a 7'5" center who is from the Bluegrass State. He began his college career at Youngstown State, then transferred to USC for his junior season. Now, he'll play at Louisville for his senior season.
Size is obviously Dynes' greatest asset right now. He is a natural rim protector and rebounder, but his offensive game is limited. He's terrific around the rim, but isn't as much of a threat away from the basket. Last season, with the Trojans, he averaged 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1 block per game in about 12 minutes per game.
It's another miss for Pope, who had Dynes in for a visit last week, but the Cats did land Senegalese forward Ousmane N'Diaye in the meantime. Kentucky also has some other international frontcourt targets they are working on. As for Dynes, he becomes an enemy, and fans will likely let him hear about it next time they meet.
