The ADMIRAL Bundesliga jury, comprised of club presidents, managers, and coaches, has made its choice: Kerim Alajbegovic has been awarded the title of Best Newcomer of the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old joined us last summer and wasted no time in making a name for himself in his first Bundesliga season. With two matches remaining, he has racked up eight goals (some of them spectacular) and three assists. These impressive numbers also caught the eye of Bayer Leverkusen: Kerim's former club exercised the buy-back clause a few weeks ago, meaning he will switch to the German Bundesliga this summer.
Kerim will receive the ADMIRAL Bundesliga award at the final home game of the season against Hartberg on Sunday 17 May at 14:30 CEST at the Red Bull Arena.
I am very pleased to receive this award – it means a lot to me. I am grateful for the trust placed in me this year at FC Red Bull Salzburg and for the support of the team and the entire staff. Now, my full focus is on the final matches – we want to finish the season in the best possible way.
