Caldwell kept the momentum going on Monday with a couple of big-time moves.
Caldwell made a couple of important moves on Monday that should have a positive impact on the Lady Vols program.
First, Caldwell hired Brandon Miller, who worked at NC State for the last nine years, as Tennessee’s new director of video and strategy.
Miller, who is replacing Josh Theis at UT, served as NC State’s director of scouting and video operations.
“I am really pleased to add an experienced Power 4 veteran like Brandon to our program,” said Caldwell in a press release announcing the hire. “He was a trusted member of Wes Moore’s staff at NC State, has been to two Final Fours and brings a wealth of knowledge from his stops at other schools as well. Our whole office is excited to add him to the mix, and we look forward to working alongside him.”
The other big move the Lady Vols made on Monday was landing East Carolina transfer point guard Kennedy Fauntleroy.
Fauntleroy, 5-foot-7, also previously played at Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown.
Last season at East Carolina, Fauntleroy averaged 13.7 points a game.
Tennessee has now added 12 transfers and signed two high school recruits for next season, giving the Lady Vols 14 players.
Kim Caldwell made a couple of significant moves to enhance the Lady Vols' roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The Lady Vols ended Caldwell's second season with eight consecutive losses, indicating a need for improvement.
