Game 1 went about as good as the Knicks couldâve hoped.
New York came out on their homecourt and really set the tone for this second round series, dominating the 76ers on both ends of the floor in a commanding 39-point victory.
Defensively, they shutdown Phillyâs one-two punch of Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, limiting them to just a combined 27 points and six fields goals on the night.
They continued clicking on all cylinders offensively, as well, as everyone who logged a minute scored and they shot a whopping 63 percent from the field as a team.
âWe played full game of Knicks basketball,â Josh Hart said.
âI thought it was a really good game by our guys,â Mike Brown added.
New York has put together their best stretch of basketball when itâs mattered the most, winning their last four games by a combined 135 points.
Thatâs the largest point-differential in any four-game span in NBA playoff history.
Even as they keep rolling, though, the Knicks now firsthand that they canât get too far ahead of themselves as there is still a lot of series left to be played.
âItâs good, but itâs just one game,â Mikal Bridges said. âIt goes back to 0-0 in Game 2.â
âYouâve got to take this with a grain of salt and just move forward,â added. âI donât think weâre going to see that team that we saw in Game 1 out there in Game 2 -- theyâre going to be ready to go.â
