Kyle Schwarber hit his 350th career home run during the Phillies' game against the Giants, achieving this milestone in just 1,321 games. He is among the fastest players in MLB history to reach this mark.
The Philadelphia Phillies tested out a graphic earlier on Thursday morning at Citi Field: ā350 Schwarbombs,ā the banner on the screen read.
The graphic was just in case Kyle Schwarber reached a massive career milestone in one of the Philliesā two games against the San Francisco Giants later that day, and itās a good thing the stadium did test the design, because during his first at-bat, Schwarber did just that.
The Phillies' designated hitter blasted a solo home run off Logan Webb just 10 pitches into the game, officially helping Schwarber reach this impressive career milestone.
Schwarber is far from the first player to join the 350-homer club, but he is one of the quickest to do so in MLB history.
It took the Phillies slugger 1,321 games to get to this mark, which is the seventh fewest number of games to reach that mark. New York Yankees Aaron Judge is still the fastest, as he has hit 350 homers in 1,088 games.

Schwarberās next big milestone to hit will be his 400th career home run, which, if he continues at the same pace, could come early next season. The slugger already has 10 home runs on the year, and has hit 38 homers or more in the last four seasons. A year ago, Schwbarber slugged 56 homers.
Yes, the 33-year-old is starting to get up there in age, but heās clearly still in the prime of his career.
In terms of the game itself, Schwarberās home run was critical in Philadelphiaās walk-off win over the Giants. San Francisco scored two runs in the top of the first inning, and Schwarber immediately helped the Phillies get one of those runs back.
āI thought the homer was huge to be able to just punch right back to put us in striking distance with one pitch,ā said new interim manager Don Mattingly after the game.
Schwarberās home run on Thursday is far from the last one heāll hit in his career, but when looking back at the most important ones in his playing career, this will certainly be one on the highlight reel.
