Surviving their first nail-biter of the 2026 NBA playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder picked up another series sweep. They came away with a 115-110 Game 4 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. The back-and-forth affair upped the intensity level from a forgettable first three games.
Redeeming himself from a couple of costly shooting fouls, Chet Holmgren hit the go-ahead bucket with 32 seconds to go. He waited for traffic to clear out before going up for the two-handed jam. finally looked like his usual self with 35 points and eight assists.
The final score was 115-110 in favor of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder have achieved eight consecutive wins in the playoffs, with six of those victories by double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Lakers couldn't answer on the other end. Austin Reaves missed an outside jumper. LeBron James' floater attempt was way off. Quite the thrilling finish to another playoff series sweep for the Thunder. They've started their back-to-back ambitions with eight consecutive wins. Six of those were by double-digit points.
And according to the Last Two Minute Report, the Thunder can — in good conscience — celebrate their Round 2 sweep over the Lakers. In their first clutch-time game, Tony Brothers and crew pitched a perfect game when it mattered most. There were no incorrect calls and non-calls.
The L2M Report suggested zero controversy — even though some Lakers fans thought Holmgren might've traveled on his big-time dunk. Good to see that be the case. You don't want a bad call or non-call to ruin a close playoff game like that.
It was good to see the Thunder win in a dog fight. It was the first time they were truly tested in these NBA playoffs. Expect that to change from now on, though. The 2026 Western Conference Finals will be a bloodbath. Especially if the San Antonio Spurs advance.
