Eight baseball teams from Lafayette Parish advanced to the LHSAA quarterfinals and semifinals. The lowest remaining seed is Ascension Episcopal at No. 13 in Select Division IV.
Twenty-eight baseball teams hailing from Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas entered the LHSAA Baseball State Tournament with the hopes of surviving and advancing.
Eight of those teams did just that as they punched their tickets to the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of their respective tournaments. From upset series victories to shutout pitching performances, athletes across the 337 have been leaving it all out on the diamond.

As a state title remains up for grabs, the eight area teams will hit the road as the lower seeded team. The lowest seed still in the running for a championship from the area is Ascension Episcopal at No. 13 in the Select Division IV bracket. Following the Bule Gators are the Rayne Wolves at No. 7 in the Non-Select Division II bracket.
With all but two of the postseason rounds in the books, here’s a roundup of the baseball matchups happening across Louisiana in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the LHSAA playoffs.
