The Baltimore Ravens unveiled their “Next Flight” uniform collection on Thursday night for the 2026 NFL season. It marked the franchise’s most significant redesign since 1999. That year, the original logo made way for the purple bird head that became synonymous with the team.
More than 6,000 season-ticket holders packed a local concert venue to witness the reveal, but the players got an early look before anyone else.

Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers and their teammates reacted to the new gear in a video the team posted Thursday, and the responses were as natural as they could be.
“These are nice, very nice,” Henry said. “This matte helmet is fire. Very tough.” He also added. “Not too much like a drastic change, but it’s like very subtle, but you didn’t need much change.”
“Oh my god! That’s clean,” Flowers added.
“They all look good. Dang! We need to be suited up right now,” Jackson shared. “That matte black different.”
The centerpiece of the update is the new “Darkness Helmet,” which brings a matte black finish with talon stripes and a front-facing logo featuring sharp red eyes.
The “Purple Rising” helmet also got reworked, now carrying the primary logo instead of the alternate version the team used before.

Jersey changes followed a similar path. Each number now comes outlined in midnight purple, and that same shade shows up on sleeve patches, collars and pant details.
The collar pattern took on the shape of spread wings, connecting back to the franchise’s early identity. The drop shadow disappeared entirely. Gold trim got swapped out across the board. The white road jerseys now display “Baltimore” across the chest.
Uniform changes don’t usually carry this kind of weight, but Baltimore’s redesign feels different. The organization leaned into its identity without abandoning what already worked.
