Arsenal goes top of the Premier League but faces injury woes after beating Newcastle 1-0.
Mike Washington Jr., a 22-year-old running back, showcased impressive stats and speed during his college career, making him a potential second-round pick in the NFL Draft. He is expected to complement Ashton Jeanty in the Raiders' offense.

Washington spent time at Buffalo, New Mexico State, and Arkansas with his final season in the SEC being his best with a career high 1070 yards, career high 6.5 yards per touch, and another career high in receptions, yards, receiving touchdowns, and rushing touchdowns. Washington has elite long speed, heās a true homerun threat, and shows incredible ability to hit a gap and use his fly downfield. His first step quickness is incredible, he has the long speed to pair, and is likely a strong change of pace runningback. He has good lateral movement in the open field, but he will struggle behind or at the LOS. He has a good downhill approach, but shows patience to let blocks develop, and utilizes his athleticism to make a play in the backfield to find a gap. Washington will run over defenders, heās not afraid of contact majority of the time. Heās shown a good anchor in pass pro, does a good job to hold up as a pass protector, has a nasty streak, and takes pride in punishing defenders as a blocker. Washington has good step out of contact, heās able to change direction quickly, and his true speed shows in a lot of his overall NFL impact, where Washington works best outside of the tackle, but can work when blocks align inside the tackle as well. Heās decisive, and wonāt go down easy till heās gotten at least 3-4 yards. He shows a good ability to be a receiver, has solid hands, and heās good with the ball in his hands, though thereās not much of a dynamic receiving ability.

Washington isnāt overly dynamic at times, and likely isnāt a true every down back. He has a limited route tree, was mainly a dump off threat, and he also doesnāt show great route running skills either. Washington can be stiff in his hips due to his build, and heāll need to add some more lower body power as well to keep his legs moving. Washington doesnāt have phonebooth agility, but he is good in the open field, which is why it works best in a wide outside the tackles concept. He has a really bad fumble history, and the way he plays does cause him to put the ball in danger. Washington can also avoid contact at times, especially downfield where heāll look to go out of bounds, or simply not fight for the extra contact. Additionally, Iād like to see him do better using his speed to get outside in the open field, instead of trying to run someone over, or make a move thatās just not overall great.
Washington projects as the Raiders second runningback, heās a complimentary back to Ashton Jeanty, and his blend of speed, patience, and outside zone capabilities will really help work in the wide zone system. Heās a true homerun threat, and he does show some power, which heāll need to tap into more often. Washington can work on third downs, he has the ability to pass protect, and heās also a natural receiver as well who you can utilize on concepts downfield with his speed and acceleration. Klint Kubiak wanted to add a secondary runningback for Las Vegas, and Washington is the definition. Heās an incredible home run threat, and will be schemed into having the concepts necessary to succeed.
