UConn's Ball (wrist) to miss all of next season
UConn guard Solo Ball will miss the entire 2026-27 season for wrist surgery.
Tennessee Vols are in contention to land Wake Forest transfer guard Juke Harris, but face tough competition from Michigan and North Carolina. The timeline for Harris's decision remains uncertain.
Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Vols are hoping to land Wake Forest Demon Deacons transfer guard Juke Harris. The Vols, however, have some stiff competition for the North Carolina native.
The Tennessee Vols appear to be one of the last teams standing for Wake Forest Demon Deacons transfer guard Juke Harris.
But itâs unclear when Harris plans to make a final decision, which means plenty of twists and turns are still possible in this transfer battle.
Harris, 6-foot-7/200 pounds from Salisbury, NC, averaged 21.4 points per game as a sophomore for Wake Forest this past season.
The Michigan Wolverines and North Carolina Tar Heels have been viewed as the the Volsâ top competition for Harris.
Additionally, the 2026 NBA Draft still looms as a possibility for Harris.
247Sportsâ Travis Branham wrote on Monday that it âsounds likeâ the transfer battle for Harris is down to Michigan and Tennessee.
âComing out of the weekend, this recruitment sounds like it could be coming down to Michigan and Tennessee,â wrote Branham. âThe Volunteers have landed several transfers and high school commitments, injecting way more offense into their program than in yearâs past. Even with all of their recent additions, they still are a real threat for Harris, who is one of this cycleâs top perimeter scorers. Michigan has already had Harris on campus for a visit and remains a serious contender.â
Harris was heavily recruited by Tennessee in high school, so itâs not necessarily a negative that he hasnât visited Rocky Top.
Still, Michigan is a serious threat for Harris.
VolQuestâs Brent Hubbs, in fact, said last week that landing Harris is âpersonalâ for Michigan head coach Dusty May.
"I think the thought from some people that Michigan is out of the race or that they faded back is inaccurate,â said Hubbs. âI think Dusty May, that one is personal for him - because he really wants [Harris]. I think he's very hands on in trying to get Juke Harris to Ann Arbor.â
Itâs possible that North Carolina could jump back into the mix. But for now, it sounds like Harrisâ decision will come down to the NBA, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Harris has until May 27 to pull his name of the 2026 NBA Draft and retain his eligibility.
Juke Harris averaged 21.4 points per game as a sophomore at Wake Forest.
The Michigan Wolverines and North Carolina Tar Heels are the main competitors for Juke Harris's transfer to Tennessee.
