Lazio Ultras Reveal Decision Regarding Attending Coppa Italia Final & Roma Derby
The organized Lazio fan groups have made contrasting decisions regarding attending the Coppa Italia final and the Derby della Capitale.
The supporters have been boycotting the club’s home fixtures as part of their protest against Claudio Lotito’s administration, demanding that the unpopular patron sell the club. This has been the case since the league fixture against Genoa on January 30, with the only exception being the clash against AC Milan, when the fans returned to their stands in what they described as ‘one last act of love’.
On Wednesday, Lazio beat Atalanta in the Coppa Italia semi-final following dramatic penalty shootouts. This set the stage for a hectic week in May, one that will decide the club’s entire campaign.
The Biancocelesti will host Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico for a league fixture on May 9. Four days later, the two clubs will meet again at the same venue for the Coppa Italia final. The following weekend, Lazio will clash heads with their arch-rivals Roma in the season’s second edition of the Derby della Capitale.
