The Los Angeles Lakers are now down 2-0 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their Western Conference Semifinals series. It has been a rough one for the Lakers, as the Thunder have utterly dominated them in this series.
Many people expected this to happen, which is why the Thunder were massive favorites. While the Lakers have had some decent performances, head coach JJ Redick has put the referees on blast, especially with their officiating of LeBron James.
For the longest time, LeBron has always been a physical player. He loves going downhill and overpowering his opponents. It has been his bread and butter for a long time, but that has led some referees to not blow their whistles on worthy fouls.

Since James is one of the strongest players in NBA history, sometimes whistles are not blown when they should be. Against the Thunder in Game 2, Redick and the Lakers believed LeBron should have gotten more free throws.
Redick has been around the league for a long time, but he thinks LeBron is being officiated the worst by the referees. That is a serious claim, but it seems Redick is convinced that it is the truth about James.
"He gets clobbered on that one with Jaylin Williams... LeBron has the worst whistle of any star player I've ever seen. I've been with him, two years now, the smaller guys because they can be theatrical, they typically draw more fouls," Redick said about the officiating whenever James is involved in the play.
"Bigger players that are built like LeBron, it's hard for them."
Redick brings up great points because James does have a massive frame, so it sometimes looks like too much physicality is happening. Redick is calling this out because he feels LeBron deserves more calls, and it seems the King is also thinking about it.
