Almost ten years ago, Leicester City were crowned the champions in England against all odds in what was an unforgettable Premier League season. Now, the Foxes are on the verge of relegation to League One.

Leicester need to defeat Hull City this evening to avoid the drop. It won't be easy, the Tigers are sixth in the Championship and need the points if they are to take a play-off spot with Wrexham and Derby County ready to pounce on any mistakes.

Even then, that could just be a temporary reprieve for Leicester who could still go down if results don't go their way elsewhere on Wednesday.

Should West Bromwich Albion win against Watford this evening, Blackburn Rovers defeat Sheffield United tomorrow, and Charlton avoid defeat against Ipswich Town then the former Premier League winners will be in the third tier next season.

It's a remarkable story, particularly as on paper Leicester's squad is strong enough to be one of those teams hoping for promotion.

Asmir Begovic, Jannik Vestergaard, Ricardo Pereira, Jamaal Lascelles, Harry Winks, and Jordan Ayew are just a selection of the current Leicester players that have been playing Champions League football. It's hard to imagine they could be in the same league as Bromley next season, with no disrespect to the promoted Ravens.
