THREE RIVERS — The Sturgis golf team finished as the St. Joseph County champions earlier this week.
The Trojans shot a team score of 350 to earn the crown. Three Rivers was the host school for the event, which was played at Pine View Golf Club.
Senior Gavin Lewis led the way as he continued his stellar season. Lewis fired a round of 73, which earned him the right as the top overall golfer in St. Joseph County. For the year, he's logged 13 birdies on the season.
Gavin Lewis and Fernando Nieves both earned All-County honors for Sturgis golf.

Lewis' round of 73 was a career-low for 18 holes.
Fernando Nieves shot a career-low for the Trojans as well. He shot an 87, which put him at third place individually for the county tournament.
Easton Barkby shot 93, Drayk Lampe shot a 97 (including registering his first birdie) while Cooper Barkby shot 104 and James Berry added a 105.
Three Rivers finished second overall with a team score of 363.
Carter Langston led the Cats with an 89, Bryson McGraw added a 90 and Al Schmucker carded a 91. Avan Schmucker shot 93 while Grady McDonough added a 98, Noah Ranson shot 99.
Both Langston and McGraw finished All-County with Top 10 finishes.
