Rosenior was sacked on Wednesday following a dismal 3-0 defeat to Brighton, Chelsea’s fifth in a row in the league without scoring.

The 41-year-old is the second head coach to leave Stamford Bridge this season following the departure of Enzo Maresca.

The Blues have made mistake after mistake when it comes to appointing head coaches, and signing players, with the club’s sporting directors coming under severe pressure from fans.

The make-up of the squad has been criticised, especially the lack of know how and leadership in the team, with a common theme under Rosenior one of wilting in the face of adversity.

Chelsea are reportedly open to signing players with proven Premier League experience this summer, whilst co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will be tweaked.
