For PSG, this feels like the final hurdle in their race to secure another Ligue 1 title. The postponement of their match against their only rival for the title, RC Lens, has worked perfectly in their favour. Their loss to Lille OSC earlier this month gave them considerable wiggle room. Lyon represent a big test, but thereafter, the run is easy for Luis Enrique’s men (FC Nantes, followed by SCO Angers, FC Lorient, and Stade Brestois). It means that, by the time the game against Les Sang et Orcomes around, just before the final gameweek of the season, the title may already be secured.
You certainly wouldn’t bet against it given PSG’s current form. It has been an inconsistent season, unlike the previous one, but they are peaking at just the right time. Lyon finally returned to winning ways last wekeend, beating Lorient (2-0), but that should be irrelevant here. At home, PSG should blow Les Gonesaway.
