Four-star linebacker Ellis McGaskin has scheduled an official visit with Florida State Seminoles for June 12 as part of his 2027 recruiting process. He previously committed to Notre Dame but reopened his recruitment in January.
The Florida State Seminoles are looking to add some more linebacker talent to their 2027 recruiting class, and a key target has scheduled an official visit with them. Four-star linebacker Ellis McGaskin will officially visit on June 12, according to Chris Nee of Noles247.
FSU has some tough competetion for McGaskin, who was previously committed to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before reopening his recruitment in January. The Mobile, Alabama native will also take official visits to see the Florida Gators (May 28), Texas A&M Aggies (June 5), and LSU Tigers (June 19).
He is ranked as the No. 342 overall player and No. 28 linebacker in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 16 player from Alabama.
McGaskin returned to Tallahassee earlier this month for his first visit in over a year. With an official visit locked in, they now have a shot to land the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder.
He is coming off an excellent junior season at Williamson High School, where he played linebacker and a little running back. He finished the season with 160 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, and an interception. He also carried the ball 26 times for 258 yards and four touchdowns.
