Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has fully recovered from a shoulder injury that cut his 2025 season short. He expressed confidence in his health and readiness for the upcoming season.
Detroit — Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold didn't have anything to say regarding any potential legal issues while speaking at a community event Wednesday evening, but he did discuss his recovery from the shoulder injury that prematurely ended his second professional season.
"I haven’t felt this good in a long time," Arnold said while standing outside Cold Truth, an ice cream shop in Midtown. "Just playing through all the injuries and kind of coming into the NFL, dealing with my groin from college, and then my shoulder. My whole thing is, man, they’re in trouble. Like, I ain’t felt this good in a long time."

Asked if he had any comment regarding his name being mentioned in court documents related to an armed robbery and kidnapping case that took place in Florida, Arnold said, "I’m here for Earth Day, man. So, as far as that situation right there — I mean, I can’t speak on that right now."
Arnold, in partnership with Cold Truth and The Cleanup Club (a non-profit organization based in Michigan that fights pollution), hosted a community cleanup Wednesday. Arnold arrived at the event, took pictures with volunteers in attendance and helped weigh the garbage that was picked up. He collected some garbage himself, as well.

"Just trying to come out here and bond with the people who are here to make the community a better place and show them I’m trying to do the same thing that they’re doing," Arnold said.
Arnold was improving his play in 2025 before he hurt his shoulder in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 5. He returned to the lineup about a month later but suffered a concussion in his second game back versus the Washington Commanders on Nov. 9, sidelining him for two weeks. Arnold hurt his shoulder again against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 27. He three days later.

“It was torn," Arnold said of his shoulder. "It was one of those things where anytime I extended it or anytime I would jam (a receiver) or somebody would hit it or I would make a tackle, it was painful. I had to get it operated on. It was something that I felt like I could’ve kept playing through, but then it got to a point where I didn’t want to end up tearing up my nerves and end up doing something that I couldn’t come back from."
Arnold added, making it clear his shoulder has fully healed: "I’m ready to play."
