Liverpool Are Eyeing A Move For This Ligue 1 Winger: What Will He Bring To Anfield?
In a recent report, L’Equipe (subscription required) stated that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. It has been claimed that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting the French wide player this off-season.
Akliouche has enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old has banged in seven goals and earned 11 assists in 42 matches for Monaco this season across all fronts.
The French wide player is currently one of the best wingers in Ligue 1. Hence, it is no wonder that the Reds are eager to get a deal done for him this summer.
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Akliouche is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.
The French talent is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as an attacking midfielder if needed. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical demands and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board this summer.
We can expect Akliouche to bring more goals and creativity to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s frontline. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.
At 24, Akliouche has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the Reds to consider in this upcoming transfer window. However, Slot has to give him some time to adjust to life in the Premier League before he can unlock the best out of the gifted talent. All in all, it makes sense for the Reds to move in for him later this year.
