Liverpool managed to get a much-needed win against Fulham on Saturday, with Arne Slotâs embattled Reds getting the three points they needed to ensure they would end the matchweek in the top five and the Champions League places. That victory, though, came at a cost.
Midfielder Curtis Jones started the match and played well but had to be replaced at the half with a groin issue, with head coach Slot after the match saying that he didnât think Jones would be ready to go again by kickoff of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
However, there is now positive news to report on that front, as Jones has taken part in team training on Monday ahead of the mid-week European tie. A start might seem unlikely, all things considered, but it seems likely that Jones would at least be able to make the bench.
In other injury news, Alisson Becker has yet to re-join team training though he is expected back in the next week or two and could yet have a role to play this season. Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni all remain long-term absentees and any involvement for them in the coming weeks is less certain.
