Speed is crucial in modern football as it enhances a team's performance and effectiveness on the field.
Liverpool's speed at the academy level is highlighted as exceptional, similar to that of top teams like Paris Saint-Germain.
Having fast players can significantly improve a team's attacking options and defensive capabilities, making them more competitive.
Liverpool boasts one of the fastest teenagers in the country, showcasing exceptional speed at the academy level. This talent highlights the importance of speed in modern football.
Liverpool have one of the fastest teenagers in the country and he's incredible
Liverpool may have one of the fastest teenagers playing at academy level in the entire country.
Speed is something you desperately need in the modern game. Just look at the way Paris Saint German play. Nuno Mendes, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi are all extremely fast.
Obviously you need more than just speed, but this element of speed in abundance helps PSG to be one of the best teams on the planet right now.
Looking inward, Liverpool lack this element in their game.
Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong have definitely added explosiveness to the side, but it's still a million miles away from the sheer speed of prime Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah bombing down both wings in their prime.
That was a terrifying time to be a Premier League defender facing Liverpool.
Now it's not quite the same. Liverpool definitely want to add more speed to the first-team, and it looks like that is what they are targeting this summer.
But there's also an exciting young player in the club's academy who may be one of the fastest teenagers in the country.
Everyone thinks the only noteworthy young player in Liverpool's academy ranks is Rio Ngumoha at the moment. However, the reality is that there are numerous exciting young prospects representing the club at the moment.
Trey Nyoni is obviously the exciting player just right behind him. Kieran Morrison has been regularly involved with the first-team recently.
There's Jayden Danns, who has made a breakthrough to the first-team and only injuries have held him back.
You also have to keep an eye on, Vincent Joseph, Joshua Abe and Erik Farkas who are regarded as some of the most talented players in their age-groups in the entire country and have made an exciting mark at U18 level for the Reds' young side.
But there's another exciting name to add to this list.
Left-winger La'more Forrester has gone under the radar for a while even though he's actually been secretly regarded as a very promising player in the club's ranks for some time.
At just 15-years, one month and nine days old, he became the second youngest player ever to play for Liverpool's U18 side all the way back in 2023.
Forrester picked up a serious injury in the aftermath of his debut which has meant he's had to wait until this season to finally break into the U18 side.
Still only 17-years-old and a first-year scholar, this is by no means an underachievement. He's exactly where he is supposed to be for his age-group.
Although he might not be with the U18s for very long.
Forrester has 12 goals and three assists in 24 games for the club's U18 and U17 side, and he is now making a serious claim to be promoted to the U21 level, and then potentially even higher if he continues to perform at that level, too.

Forrester is a very talented player. He's very direct and a real nuisance for opposition defenders.
What really stands out about Forrester is his incredible speed. He brushes past his opponents with ease and in his age-group he's the fastest player by far in the U18 Premier League this season.
He's probably the fastest player Liverpool's academy has boasted since Raheem Sterling, and there are shades of the England international in his style of play.
Sterling went onto break plenty of records in Liverpool's academy and in the first-team so that is a very good omen for Forrester.
He's certainly got a huge career ahead of himself and with Slot looking to add speed to the Reds' senior team, he'll be keeping a close eye on the development of the 17-year-old, who may just get his chance to impress in pre-season this summer.
