Liverpool offered blockbuster deal for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr
Liverpool have almost certainly been offered a deal to sign Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian is on the hunt for something new.
Journalist Romain Molina claims Vinicius Jr has been offered to major clubs around Europe by intermediaries. There's a key detail here, though: absolutely everyone said no.
Liverpool are almost certainly one of the club who have been offered Vinicius, given they're one of only a handful who could actually pay for him. Not to mention the fact they never replaced Luis Diaz and are legitimately in need of a winger.
But it won't be Vinicius. There are a few reasons for that but none greater than this not being a sensible deal.
The Brazilian would only move for a massive fee, while he'll also want enormous wages. There's a reason he might leave Real Madrid, after all - they won't pay the wages he's after.
There is a huge disconnect between what Vinicius is after as a contract and what he actually offers on the pitch. We're talking about someone who is primarily a goalscorer but has 12 La Liga goals this season and just 11 last season. Only once has he managed beyond 15 (17 in 2022).
So while there's little doubt that Vinicius would be a superb addition for nearly every team, he wouldn't be at the price it would take. And that's before you accept the reality that him being 'offered' to clubs is almost certainly a tactic to put pressure on Real Madrid in their contract negotiations.
It might not be the last we hear of this one, then. But we wouldn't put much stock in it.
Major clubs have reportedly declined to sign Vinicius Jr due to financial constraints or strategic decisions regarding their squad.
Liverpool needs to strengthen their squad, particularly by replacing Luis Diaz and adding a winger.

Across the 2025â2026 campaign, the 25-year-old has recorded 17 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances, including a notable brace in a 2â1 Champions League victory away at Manchester City in March. Despite a difficult period earlier in the season that saw him face occasional boos at the BernabĂ©u, he has found his rhythm in 2026, scoring six goals in six European outings. Most recently, on 21 April, he played the full 90 minutes and scored in a 2â1 win against AlavĂ©s, maintaining a high average FotMob rating of 7.66.
Contract Uncertainty and World Cup Focus
VinĂciusâs future in Madrid has become a subject of growing intrigue as he enters the final 15 months of his current contract. Reports on 19 April 2026 suggest that while the player maintains a strong affinity for Los Blancos, his representatives have begun exploring potential interests elsewhere, though clubs like Chelsea have reportedly distanced themselves from a move. On the international front, VinĂcius is set to lead Brazil at the 2026 World Cup this June. Despite minor thigh discomfort during the March international break, he has remained fit and vocal about his ambitions, recently stating that while Brazil are not the favourites, he is prepared to be the "protagonist" to return the Seleção to the top.
