In fact, Chiesa has largely been linked with that move since arriving. January 2025 saw questions asked and a move in the summer of 2025 looked inevitable.
Instead, the Italian winger remained with Liverpool - to much surprise. A fantastic start to the season didn't materialise to consistent minutes and now it would be genuinely shocking if Chiesa didn't leave after this season.
One massive problem has been an unwillingness to take a paycut, with Italian clubs unable to match his wages at Liverpool. That's an issue that now looks resolved as Chiesa is now willing to accept less money in order to get out.
Chiesa, then, can be added to the ever-growing list of exits at Liverpool this summer. One who, in many eyes, never really got the chance he should have.
