Liverpool suffer major blow ahead of PSG clash

Bradley Barcola is likely to be in Paris Saint-Germain's squad in their Champions League clash

Although Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue did a more than solid job last time out, the fact that Bradley Barcola is going to return from injury is not good news.

Before their first leg, the Frenchman started all 12 of PSG's Champions League games and managed to contribute to five goals.

He's also started 15 Ligue 1 games this term and has contributed to another 12 goals in that competition.

Whether he's used on the left or right-wing or as a striker, he's always been one of PSG's most dangerous players and, especially with the French outfit already 2-0 up, it's a recipe for disaster.

Even with five defenders on the pitch during the first leg, Liverpool failed to keep Enrique's men at bay which, with how much is at stake, is far from ideal.

Nothing has gone right for Liverpool this season.

Most fans thought that they'd be in a battle with Arsenal and Manchester City for the Premier League title but, instead, they're fighting for fifth place in the league.

Luckily, England have been given the extra Champions League spot again so, if Slot's men do finish in the top five, they'll earn qualification to the competition next term.

They could also end up winning the Champions League but, in order for them to do that, they'd have to be on top form and ensure that Enrique's men stay away from their net.

The Reds would still obviously need at least three goals to advance to the next stage of the competition which is a bit of a struggle in itself.

And, especially since Barcola will be back in action, it's unclear how well they'll actually do.
