The LSU Tigers have not secured any confirmed players from the transfer portal, missing out on former Alabama forward Aiden Sherrell, who has committed to the Indiana Hoosiers. Sherrell averaged 11.1 points and 6.2 rebounds last season.

The LSU Tigers brought back head coach Will Wade and then hired a star staff of recruiters/assistant coaches, but over a week into the transfer portal period, they still have zero confirmed players for next season.
The Tigers haven't been completely stagnant, as they were reportedly in the mix for Ex-Alabama Crimson Tide forward Aiden Sherrell, per insider Jeff Goodman, but missed out as Sherrell committed to the Indiana Hoosiers on Wednesday.
Sherrell averaged 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per night on 53.9/33.8/71.3 shooting splits last season as a sophomore. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward would have been a great building block for Wade, but they'll have to keep looking.
The news of losing out on him is a little bittersweet. It's obviously not great to see a team that is supposed to have increased resources and a star staff of recruiters losing out on a team that isn't as much of a powerhouse either. Still, it's at least proof for a frustrated fanbase that Wade's staff isn't just twiddling their fingers.
There have been a couple of other potential targets floating around, like new TCU Horned Frogs commit PJ Haggerty, but just no perfect matches for now.
The only player that LSU could have is sophomore guard Jalen Reece, who has been the only person not to leave the program yet. The problem is that there has also been no confirmation that he is indeed coming back yet.
As the Tigers traverse the portal, finding an offensive engine to build around is the main goal. At this point, though, they'll need to just start getting bodies before all of the top options are gone. Who they end up with will be very telling of just how much the athletics department is really committed to turning this into a top program. The early signs aren't great.
LSU missed out on Aiden Sherrell because he committed to the Indiana Hoosiers after being a reported transfer target.
Last season, Aiden Sherrell averaged 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
As of now, LSU has not confirmed any new players from the transfer portal despite bringing back head coach Will Wade and hiring a strong recruiting staff.
