LSU women's basketball is losing a talented young guard to the transfer portal. On Tuesday, On3's Talia Goodman reported Bella Hines plans to enter the portal. Hines spent one year in Baton Rouge and averaged 4.2 points per game.
Hines averaged 13.0 minutes per game and shot 44.9% from the field. She was a decent three-point shooter, making 37.3% of her attempts from behind the arc. She added 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest.
Hines is a tough loss for LSU, but not a backbreaking one. The Tigers return key backcourt players like MiLaysia Fulwiley, Jada Richard, and Mikaylah Williams. LSU is also expected to look for guard reinforcements in the transfer portal.
Per 247Sports, Hines was the No. 23-ranked player in the 2025 recruiting class. She was the No. 5 shooting guard and top recruit in the state of New Mexico.
Hines is the third LSU player to enter the portal, joining Kailyn Gilbery and Divine Bourrage.
